Emmanuel Imuagbagbon Usoh is a Board Member of the Edo State Board of Internal
Revenue and an Executive Director of its operational arm, the Edo State
Internal Revenue Service. He directly supervises the Directorate of Income
Taxes as well as other functions as may be assigned to him by the Executive
Chairman in the daily operations of the Revenue Service.

Emmanuel I. Usoh who hails from Uromi in Esan North East Local Government Area
of Edo State, was born on the 5th day of February, 1970, and he is happily married
with three children.
Education
He had his
early education in Victory Nursery and Primary School, Benin City, from 1979 to
1983. After excelling in his First School Leaving Certificate Examination, he
was offered admission into the prestigious Edo College for his secondary
education in 1983 where he distinguished himself in the West African School
Certificate Examination (WAEC) in 1988.
His academic
sojourn saw him studying Law in the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma from 1994
to 1999. While studying to becoming a Legal luminary, the young Usoh channelled
his youthful exuberance towards championing the cause of student’s welfarism
and these forays saw him making positive impact in student unionism both at the
level of the Students Union Government (SUG) and the National Association of
Nigerian Students (NANS).
Despite his
student union activities, he was undeterred in making it to the pinnacle of his
professional calling. He graduated with LL.B honours from the Ambrose Alli
University in the year 1999 and immediately proceeded to the Nigerian Law
School, Bwari, Abuja, from where he was called to the Bar in the year 2001
after obtaining his BL.

Emmanuel Imuagbagbon Usoh has made a name for himself in the private practice
of Law and his Law Chambers, Faithful Stewards, has established itself as a grooming
ground for seasoned Law practitioners.
A Fellow of
the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Barr. Emmanuel I. Usoh is
a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and was appointed a ‘Notary
Public’ of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in the year 2010.
Barrister
Emmanuel I. Usoh, a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), where he held
the position of a Publicity Secretary, is also a member of the International
Bar Association (IBA); as well as being a former member representing the
Nigerian Bar Association in the National Extractive Initiative and Transparency
International (NEITI) Ad-hoc Committee.
He was
appointed as a Senior Special Assistant on Legal Matters to the Executive
Governor of Edo State in January, 2009 from where he was appointed to the his
first stint as a Board Member of the then Edo State Board of Internal Revenue
in May of the same year, a position he held until the Board was dissolved in
January of 2011.
His
re-appointment to the same position in August of 2011 underscored the
confidence reposed in him by the Executive Governor of Edo State as his diligence,
forthrightness and analytical approach to issues stood him out as one that can
be trusted with managing the reins of the revenue generating arm of the State.

Emmanuel I. Usoh is the sole founder of the Emmanuel Imuagbagbon Usoh Foundation,
a non-profit organization dedicated sol
ely to improving the welfare of the
youths, under-priviledged and disadvantaged of the society. Through this
foundation, he has touched the lives of thousands of individuals directly and
indirectly.
The long
term vision of this Foundation is to nurture groom young budding talents
wherever they are found and to give life support to those termed forgotten and
abandoned. With the help and support of the Almighty God, the reach of the
Foundation is projected to extend beyond the borders of our national boundaries
in terms of sports, finance and educational pursuits.
